Brushy Fork Lake Information

Location and Information: Located just south of Sugar Grove, WV, Brushy Fork Lake covers a modest 18 acres. It has an average depth of 8 feet with a maximum depth of 20 feet and was constructed in 1982. The lake provides access for small boats with electric motors only. Camping and the use of live minnows as bait are both prohibited on these waters.

Despite being a small fishery, the lake does offer decent fishing throughout the year. So, what type of fish are in Brushy Fork? The lake receives monthly trout stocking between February and May each year. For trout enthusiasts, it is also helpful to know that many trout are able to survive the summer months.

The lake also houses other species such as green sunfish, bluegill, and largemouth bass. Channel catfish are also available.
