Location and Fishing Information: Candlewood Lake is located in Litchfield and Fairfield Counties, Connecticut. This body of water is the largest in the entire state and covers an impressive 5,400 acres of surface area. There is a maximum depth of approximately 90 feet and an average depth around 30 feet. There is a 45 MPH speed limit during the day which is reduced to 25 MPH from sunset to sunrise. You will find boating, kayaking and fishing on this lake.
