Location: Alum Creek Lake is a Central Ohio fishing lake near Columbus, OH.

Located in Delaware County, Alum Creek Lake can be found roughly seven miles to the north of Ohio’s state capital, Columbus. The lake runs parallel to I-71 on the East, with SR36 and SR37 as the available routes.

When was Alum Creek Lake Formed: The Army Corps of Engineers in the early 1970s. Alum Creek Lake was completed and filled in the summer of 1976.

Max Depth: Approximately 60 feet near the dam — typical range is 20 to 40 feet.  

Common Structures and Shorelines: Deep wooded ravines, abandoned farm fields, and high shale bluffs
