It is located in the southeastern part Ashtabula County, roughly one mile east of Andover, Part of the lake also extends into Pennsylvania. It lies within Pymatuning State Park. The lake was formed in 1933. It spans a massive 14,334 acres, making it one of the largest bodies on water in Ohio.
