Lake J. Strom Thurmond, South Carolina Fishing
Location and Fishing Information: Lake J. Strom Thurmond stretches over multiple counties and two different lakes. The lake was built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and was filled by 1952. Up until 1987 this lake was named Clarks Hill Lake. There is a maximum depth around 180 feet and is located in McCormick County. There are just over 71,000 acres of surface area here.

Blue Catfish: No more than one 36 inch Blue can be taken from Lake Marion or Moultrie in the same day.
Striped Bass: No more than 10 fish in one day.
