Location and Information: Crystal Lake is one of the most popular fishing lakes in Michigan. It is located in Benzie County and has a surface area just over 9,000 acres. This lake sits just inland of Lake Michigan. it has a maximum depth of around 160 feet and an average depth of 70 feet. The lake is home to a trove of recreational boaters as well as fairly decent fishing.
