Nawakwa Lake, Michigan Fishing

Location and Information: Nawakwa Lake is a smaller body of water in Alger County. The lake is just under 400 acres in size and has a max depth of approximately 30 feet with and average of around 15 feet. There are multiple different species of fish in this lake.

Species List: According to the Michigan  Department of Natural Resources, this lake contains numerous species of popular fish. So, what type of fish are in this Lake? You can find Bluegill, Rock Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye and Yellow Perch.

Northern Pike: 24” minimum- 2 per angler

Walleye: 15” minimum- 5 per angler
