Despite the fact the much of the United States is still closed off to organized events, our friends over at Texas Fishing have been hitting the water while respecting social distancing procedures.

The group’s most recent tournament was held on Sunday, May 24th. The open-waters tournament, which was formally named the Reverse Cowgirl Post Covid-19 Tournament — we couldn’t make that one up if we tried, folks — hosted 19 anglers across 8 teams.

Winners were determined by the length of their longest five bass.

The victorious team (aptly named 100 Inches) managed to surpass their moniker, pulling in a 5-fish total of 103″.

Team members Tyler McDowell, Patrick Edmuns, and Dakota Tinney split the $270 pot for their efforts.

Tinney also took home an additional $125 for landing the tournament’s longest bass — an impressive 22 inches.

The runners-up were the Springtown Boyz, who recorded 94.25 inches.
